Job Summary:

The Aviation and Space (AVED) Program, housed in the College of Education at Oklahoma State University (OSU), is seeking leading thinkers, great colleagues and outstanding professionals to assume the role of two vacant Assistant/Associate Professor positions. The two positions will be located at the urban campus of Oklahoma State University at Tulsa, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The successful candidate will have experience and specialization in aviation management concentrated in one or more of the following areas; the fiscal aspects of the aviation/aerospace industry, the air carrier industry, the airport system, aviation law and regulatory issues, general/corporate aviation, and/or the collegiate flight environment. In addition to offering undergraduate instruction, the Aviation and Space program offers graduate courses in support of the Master of Science and Doctor of Education aviation degrees; therefore, the successful candidate will have an applied research agenda designed to enhance the quality of graduate student scholarship and support the needs of the aviation/aerospace industry.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:


Ph.D/ Ed.D in Aviation/Aerospace or a closely related field. Individuals seeking this position must possess the following: ( I ) an earned doctorate with an emphasis in aviation/aerospace or a closely aligned area; (2) a clearly articulated research agenda; and (3) demonstrated teaching excellence or potential thereof. Preference will be given to applicants with: (1) professional experience in the civilian aviation/aerospace industry and/or aviation¬≠ related experience in the United States military; and (2) experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students.

Applicants should demonstrate an interest in the university's land grant mission, and a desire to make a positive impact on the community through scholarship, teaching and service.
