Job Summary:

Fire Protection Publications is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders.

Process purchase requisitions and purchase card transactions, orders supplies, tracks inventory tagged equipment. Monthly reconcile data entry of FPP system to OSU system, inventory receipt to stock, campus vendors, purchasing cards. Cross trains with co-workers. Prepares and edits reports, correspondence, and other documents for management. Assists front FPP reception desk, on as needed basis, by greeting guests, answering phones and general office duties as needed.

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and one year work related experience in accounting, general business, or related field.

Two years experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Basic typing and/or data entry (no testing required). Basic calculator, ten key by touch preferred. Some familiarity with OSU accounting. The ability to learn OSU systems, policies, and procedures governing vendor activity. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Excellent oral and written communications skill. Ability to work independently and in teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years' experience with Microsoft Office and various accounting software packages. Two years' experience with OSU accounting functions.
