Job Summary:

Fire Protection Publications is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders.

The Instructional Design Developer is apart of the eProducts department. The eProduct departments strives to deliver an exceptional experience to all FPP/IFSTA internal and external customers and vendors through our digital training materials.

 A successful developer will deliver comprehensive, high quality materials for various IFSTA/FPP products and services through various modalities. On this fast paced team, the developer will need to demonstrate outstanding customer service, manage internal and external projects, provide support of developed products, and provide assistant with all developed instructional materials. 

The developer must:

-maintain positive, professional relationships with team members, customers, distributors, and vendors
-create and maintain electronic records of support requests, development bugs, future features, and project details
-Use PCs to develop, distribute, and present technical and training information to groups of people in person and virtually. 
-liaise with other departments on projects and company initiatives as needed
-assist in the pre-production testing of products and application upgrades and be responsible for assisting the department in the deployment of production ready products

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

This position will require the incumbent to have documented proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status or an approved accommodation through the OSU Office of Equal Opportunity upon hire.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three years experience in related field or Master's degree and one year of experience which includes in-depth knowledge of learning theories, instructional models and practices, including interactive teaching methods and emerging technologies. 
Additional required experience includes knowledge of educational technologies related to teaching and learning, to meet or exceed national standards. Knowledge of course management systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across academic disciplines. Must be a self-starter and be able to manage time and multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, accomplish goals, manage vendor relations and meet deadline. Other duties may be assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field and two years experience providing curriculum design and training in an academic environment.
