Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree Five years management and leadership experience in a related setting. NAFSA and Forum Education Abroad Specific Training, OSU Leadership Development Program, OSU Fiscally Fit Program (Can be completed after hire). Knowledge of and experience in international affairs, education, or studies. Demonstrated success in strategic planning and implementation. Experience in budgeting and program financial management. Commitment to excellence in service while working with individuals from diverse cultures and various constituencies. Strong intercultural communication skills, cultural understanding and diversity appreciation. Dedication to professional development and commitment to global learning. Strong communication (spoken, written, and presentation), advising, organizational leadership and teamworking skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Proficiency in use of education abroad and team/office management relevant computer software applications. Knowledge of current international events and issues. Experience teaching globally relevant topics in a higher education academic setting. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. / Ed.D. International or higher education leadership-related field. Office administration and program management experience. Management of teams, leading working groups, and staff supervision. Previous work experience in an Education Abroad or international office setting. Experience living, studying, or traveling abroad. Proficiency in English and at least one other language. Experience with higher education administration, budgets, financial procedures, policy development, and strategic planning. Familiarity with university admissions procedures, international admissions, financial aid, academic advising, risk mitigation, student duty of care, and international travel risk management. Familiarity with visa and immigration issues for domestic and international students. Familiarity with US and international educational systems. Understanding of the field of global education (curriculum integration, crisis management, risk mitigation, experiential learning, student recruitment, etc.) Ability to understand and apply assessment in program evaluation. |
