Job Summary:

This is an eleven-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor funded 75% Instruction and 25% Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES). The successful candidate for this position is expected to provide leadership in the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural communications. In particular, the candidate should have experience in convergent media and/or graphic design. The successful candidate will be expected to develop programs and build capacity within OCES to use convergent media to communicate about complex issues in agriculture, food, the environment, and natural resources. Preferred starting date is July 1, 2018.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. / Ed.D. Agricultural Communications, mass communications, journalism, agricultural education

The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in agricultural communications, mass communications, journalism, agricultural education or a closely related discipline. The qualified candidate should have professional experience in agricultural communications or a related area.  Applicants should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, Extension program development, and scholarly contributions in convergent media and/or graphic design.
