Job Summary:

This is a full-time position located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma County Extension Office. 

Provides assistance to the Extension educator(s), (Extension Educator, Agriculture/4-H Youth Development and Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences/4-H Youth Development) in planning, conducting, and evaluating Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service educational programs. Some evenings and weekend activities are required to carry out the job responsibilities. Requires travel within assigned county and district. Occasional overnight travel. Travel budget provided. 

Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance, and available county funding.  * This is a non-exempt position. * Hours should not exceed 40 hours per week. Any deviation from regularly scheduled hours requires pre-approval from your county extension director. * Hours may vary during scheduled county events to include some evening and weekend time. 
*Requires travel within assigned county and district. Occasional overnight travel. Travel reimbursement provided. * Administratively accountable to the county extension director. Depending upon county staffing, other extension educator(s) may be involved in day to day supervision and provide appraisal input as appropriate.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required: 

High School/GED

1 year of work experience.

Valid Driver's license.                     
* Desire to pursue additional training and/or staff development.
* Ability to use technology effectively and appropriately.
* Familiar with Microsoft Office.
* Able to provide own transportation with adequate vehicle insurance verification according to state law.
* Excellent people skills. Good organizational skills.             

 Preferred:

Familiar with In-Design, Photoshop and Publisher.
