Job Summary:

Fire Protection Publications is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders.
The IFSTA/FPP Sales Assistant will serve in a support role to the Sales Manager and Training Specialists. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, time management, and computer skills.
Providing basic product demonstrations of IFSTA's learning management system and associated electronic products using online meeting software. This position will be office-based in Stillwater. This position will provide some administrative support to FPP sales staff including management of Sales Manager's calendar and voicemail. This position will assist customers with basic LMS course customization and troubleshooting. This candidate will conduct basic market research and complete other special projects as assigned by the Sales Manager. This position will provide office support for sales team while they are out of the office.
This position will oversee the IFSTA curriculum distribution process and may supervise student sales assistants. The incumbent will review and approve sales orders and desk copy requests. Sales opportunities identified from these requests will be forwarded to the appropriate Training Specialist for follow up.
The candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently as much of the time the Sales Staff will be traveling and not in the Stillwater office daily. Training will be provided.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and four years experience in sales, marketing, fire service or another related field; or two years of post-secondary education and two years of experience in sales, marketing, fire service or another related field.

Computer skills and Microsoft office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Business or other related field and three years of customer service or sales experience.
